A tall, wild bunch of rag tag friends cut on the 17th March, early Autumn Christchurch, New Zealand.
Variation in background in true reflection of the moment photographed in soft natural light in my home. No corrections have been made.A wild bunch from my garden featuring:
White and pink japanese anemones, sunflowers, verbena bonariensis, pink hollyhock, fennel flower and granny bonnet foliage.Named "New Moon" as an ode to my childhood favourite books; "Emily of New Moon" who found romance and beauty in the countryside and all seasons.
From my home to yours.NOTE: I have made a second version of this artwork which will be available within the Garden Marlborough Charity Art Auction this coming November 2020.
LIMITED SERIES OF PHOTOGRAPHED THEN INDIVIDUALLY PAINTED OVER ARTWORKS
From home in Christchurch, New Zealand I’ve grown, arranged/collected seasonal posies, photographed then gone on to paint over beautifully printed versions in an effort to visually share the aura I’m sure that shimmers from these specimens as much as the feelings I get from them. I love the romance of the seeping water colours and go very goopy and rich with acrylic!

Each image will be individually and uniquely transformed with paint just 12 times in total over small/medium/large (loosely based on widths of A4/A3/A2). While a similar flow and "painting recipe" has been created for each bunch, no two artworks are the same.
