"Carnival" is full of cheer, straight from my backyard. Sunny Shasta Daisies, frothy Snapdragons, tangerine, white and "nude" Icelandic poppies with some out of control flowering herbs and Rudbekia packing its glaring orange warmth.
The Creatures from my Garden collection of limited edition posters are inspired by the whimsy and magic found as a beginner gardener. By no means a florist (!), these are posies thrown together as they are pulled from my garden, finding spots in my home to be admired for a short time.
Flowers, photography and painting/drawing by Julia Atkinson-Dunn of Studio Home. I used watercolour paint, coloured pencil and chalk pastels.
The Studio Home Poster Project offers a light hearted “bridge” leading new art buyers away from homeware decorative prints to owning work that is “made by people” local to them.
A2 Edition of 100
A1 Edition of 80
Non-archival matte 210 gsm paper
Suitable for laminating or fit easily into A2/A1 standard off the shelf frames
For truest colour match to the actual artwork refer to the primary scan image. Make use of the hover zoom tool to examine print closely. Photos can be tricky and not always show the exact colour in person. All other images are there to give you an appreciation of scale and ideas for how they might work in your own home.
This artwork focuses on the central blooms meaning not all the other flowers are in crisp focus. The background is a chalky, slightly faded blue rather than solids and this is not immediately obvious in the other images.
The poster paper can crease easily so please handle with care when unpacking poster tube. Creases are rarely noticed once framed.
Both sizes can easily slot into off the shelf A2/A1 frames. Check out Country Road, Spotlight and The Warehouse for options.
Multiple posters (up to 3) can be added to tube at no extra cost.
