ART HOUSE: Stacey Weaver's "Ophelia"
Christchurch artist; Stacey Weaver took her immense experience photographing blooms into a new, wild and wonderful arena.
There is an acid laced romance enveloping "Ophelia"; a collection of 9 limited edition pieces. Foliage and flowers hang suspended in water and encircled in dye, presented to us with a shifting point of focus and a dreamlike lens to look through.
There is beauty tinged with mystery and an invitation to look again - offering art lovers a truly unique piece to enjoy in their homes.
The size and scope of this collection led to a REAL shake up in terms of location! With an evening launch and 4 days of showings, we were thrilled to share Stacey's work in the unique and very beautiful spaces of "The Tack Rooms" - the design lovers alternative to hotel accommodation in Christchurch.
A huge thank you must go to The Tack Rooms team, fabulous Gin Gin and Burly Cakes who created delectable drinks and cakes inspired by "Ophelia" and Gordon Harris for the loan of terrific easels to display.
